How I write a yacht CV a chief will finish

One page. The boats. The interior. The truth, in an order I can scan in forty seconds.

A chief stew reads CVs on a passerelle between provision runs. You have forty seconds. One page. Photograph at the top that looks like you on a boat, not a night out. Name, contacts, ticket dates, then the yachts.

List boats newest first. Length, flag if it helps, private or charter, your rank, the dates, and two lines of what you actually did. 'Silver service, guest laundry, cabin presentation, floral, provision runs with the chef.' That is useful. 'Passionate about luxury hospitality' is not.

Do not inflate rank. If you were stew, write stew. I will find out in the first week, and I will remember. If you have hotels, restaurants, or nannying, put them under a short 'ashore' line. They matter. They are not yachts.

References: two. A chief and a captain if you can. Mobile numbers, not a generic agency email. I call. If nobody picks up, I move to the next girl.

The photograph: hair done, white or navy top, daylight, no filter that changes your face. I need to recognise you at the airport.
